NBA 2K League extends online play, announces tournament details

The NBA 2K League will extend online play for at least five more weeks.

The league had previously announced that play would begin online for Season 3, and now, ahead of the start of Week 6, it has been confirmed that remote competition will continue through at least Week 11 of the regular season, which ends on Friday, July 17. The remainder of the 2020 season will be announced at some point in the future.

The league also released Information about the first of three in-season tournaments. Called The Tipoff, it will take place during Week 7, from Tuesday, June 16, to Friday, June 19. Start times will be 6 p.m. ET on June 16-17 and 7 p.m. ET on June 18-19. The Tipoff will feature all 23 NBA 2K League teams and will air live on ESPN2 and ESPN's digital platforms as well as NBA 2K League's Twitch and Youtube channels.

Raptors Uprising GC currently sits at the top of the NBA 2K League standings with a perfect 7-0 record, with Warriors Gaming a close second at 6-0.
