FaZe Clan has announced that the FaZe Clan VALORANT Invitational, the organization's official VALORANT Ignition series event, will take place August 6-9 with 16 teams competing for a $50,000 prize pool.

The tournament will be broadcast on Twitch across FaZe Clan, Nerd Street Gamers, and VALORANT's official Twitch channels. Nerd Street Gamers will produce the tournament behind the scenes.

FaZe Clan's VALORANT competitive roster currently consists of captain Jason "JasonR" Ruchelski (though JasonR did not compete in FaZe Clan's lone tournament appearance at the T1 VALORANT Showdown), Corey "corey" Nigra, Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo and Jimmy "Marved" Nguyen. The team placed fourth in the T1 Showdown in late June. Sentinels won the most recent VALORANT Ignition Series event, the PAX Arena Invitational, defeating Cloud9 in the final.
