The Toronto Ultra released six players from their roster Friday.
Nicholas "Classic" DiCostanzo, Carson "Brack" Newberry, Daniel "Loony" Loza, Alejandro "Lucky" López, Mehran "Mayhem" Anjomshoa, and Adrian "MettalZ" Serrano are now free agents in what already promises to be a volatile Call of Duty League offseason.

The Ultra also announced they are retaining Cameron "Cammy" McKilligan and Tobias "CleanX" Juul Jønsson, two pieces of Toronto's playoff lineup. Along with Ben "Bance" Bance and Anthony "Methodz" Zinni, they helped formed the Ultra's most successful roster across the season and the one that the team settled on after trying out a few swaps with their 10-man unit.

The Call of Duty League offseason has guaranteed a lot of roster shifts from all teams due to the decision to make the next Call of Duty game's competitive format four-vs.-four instead of five-vs.-five with all rosters required to drop at least one player from their 2020 lineups.
In the inaugural Call of Duty League season, Toronto finished seventh overall with one home series title, winning their own online home series event. They were eliminated in the fourth round of the losers bracket in the double-elimination Call of Duty League Championship playoffs and finished tied for fifth overall with OpTic Gaming Los Angeles.
