Who is the greatest fantasy football player of all time? At the moment, Drew Brees still has a bit of work ahead of him if he plans on catching Tom Brady. Cliff Welch/Icon Sportswire

Editor's Note: This story was originally published Jan. 12, 2021. It is being republished now on the occasion of Drew Brees' retirement as fantasy football's No. 2 all-time leading scorer.

Tom Brady and Drew Brees hold numerous NFL records, most notably ranking first and second all-time in passing yards (with Brees ahead of Brady) and passing touchdowns (with Brady leading Brees). Brady also has records with six Super Bowl victories and four Super Bowl MVPs, as well as 230 regular-season wins. Brees' additional records include five 5,000-yard passing seasons and 54 consecutive games with a TD pass.

In 2020, Brady and Brees became the top two all-time fantasy record holders -- Brady's 5,297.96 PPR fantasy points is tops on the list, and Brees' 5,188.92 now lands him in second place. Both passed the previous record holder, Jerry Rice (5.141.84).
