TOP STORY: Could Silva leave Man City for Real?
Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva could leave the club in the summer, with Calciomercato claiming that the midfielder is "dreaming" of a move to Real Madrid.
The 27-year-old's deal at the Etihad expires in 2025, with claims that the Portugal international wanted to leave the club last summer in search of different experiences.
Speaking on the situation back in December, Pep Guardiola said: "He [Bernardo Silva] wants to experience other countries, other leagues, other challenges for himself. It is normal, understandable. It didn't happen, thank god. We can enjoy him longer."
One side linked with a move last year was Atletico Madrid, but while that move didn't happen, another Madrid club may beckon as the report adds that Silva has always wanted to play for Los Blancos.
Real are on the brink of a potential midfield change, with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric both in their early-to-mid 30s and approaching the last few years of their contracts at the Bernabeu.
The signing of 18-year-old Eduardo Camavinga suggested a look to the future in that department, while Silva could offer something different in the peak of his career.
The playmaker could make a big impact if he were to switch, especially if he carries over his early season form of seven goal involvements in 14 Premier League games for City.

21.54 GMT: Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Inter Milan are showing an interest in 22-year-old Lille forward and Canada international Jonathan David, according to TuttomercatoWEB.
21.21 GMT: AS Roma and Napoli have joined the race for Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui, according to Calciomercato. The 24-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and the two Serie A sides are said to be in pole position to land the Morocco international.
20.48 GMT: Barcelona have put contract talks with midfielder-turned-full-back Sergi Roberto on hold, reports Marca. The 30-year-old's contract expires in the summer, and while manager Xavi has expressed a desire to keep the academy graduate at the club, the hierarchy are said to be prioritising other players' renewals first.
20.15 GMT: Bayern Munich are interested in Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, writes Calciomercato. The 19-year-old Netherlands international is of interest to a number of top European clubs, and just another 18 months left on his contract in Amsterdam.
19.40 GMT: Brazilian giants Santos are eyeing San Jose Earthquakes manager Matias Almeyda as their next head coach, according to Globo Esporte. The link comes days after the former club of Neymar parted ways with Fabio Carille, who only took charge of 27 matches, and Almeyda is now possibility on the eve of his fourth season managing in MLS.
19.03 GMT: AC Milan have the green light to extend the contract of winger Rafael Leao, according to Nicolo Schira. The 22-year-old's impressive form this season has drawn interest from other clubs, leading the Rossoneri to extend his contract a further two years until 2026 to ward off other clubs.
18.24 GMT: Moise Kean could return to Paris Saint-Germain if Kylian Mbappe leaves at the end of the season, according to Tuttosport. The 21-year-old is on a two-year loan at Juventus from Everton, though he has struggled for minutes while with the Bianconeri.
It could result in a termination of his loan, according to the report, which may open the door back to Paris. However, Kean's arrangement with Juve includes an obligation to make the move permanent if certain conditions are met, potentially complicating any move back to Ligue 1.
17.43 GMT: Atletico Madrid are planning to offer a new contract to striker Luis Suarez, reports Ekrem Konur. The 35-year-old's deal in the Spanish capital expires in the summer, an los Rojiblancos will need to contend with sides from MLS and Brazil if they're to keep the Uruguay international at the Wanda Metropolitano beyond this season.
17.00 GMT: Marcelo Brozovic will sign a new contract with Inter Milan on Monday, writes Fabrizio Romano. The 29-year-old midfielder was set to be a free agent in the summer, but the Serie A club have found a way to extended the Croatia international's stay at the club, with an announcement of a new deal expected soon.
16.15 GMT: They might not have ever really be in the race, but Liverpool are no longer interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, says Sport.
Mbappe, 23, looks set to leave PSG on a free transfer in the summer and join Real Madrid.
15.13 GMT: Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel believes "now is not the time to laugh or make jokes" about Romelu Lukaku as the Belgium striker continues to struggle with his form.
Lukaku touched the ball just seven times in Saturday's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace, the fewest number for a Premier League player appearing for 90 minutes in a match since records began in 2003.
The 28-year-old has scored just 10 goals in 28 games since his €115m arrival from Inter Milan last summer in a troubled campaign during which Lukaku has contracted COVID-19, battled injury and paid a hefty fine after conducting an unsanctioned interview in which he spoke about a desire to one day return to Italy.
Asked about Lukaku's difficulties at a Tuesday news conference to preview Chelsea's Champions League round of 16, first leg tie against Lille, Tuchel began with a throwaway remark before appearing to correct himself.
"What can I do? I don't know," said the Blues' head coach with a chuckle. "Well... now we have to deal with it. The data is out there and the data speaks a certain language. He was not involved in our game.
"It is sometimes like this with strikers if they struggle a bit with self-confidence, if they struggle a little bit to find the space and to get involved against a good defensive side. It can be like this and it is of course not what we want and of course not what Romelu wants. But it is also not the time to laugh about him and make jokes about him. He is in the spotlight of course and we will protect him because he is our player."
15.00 GMT: Mark Ogden runs through Manchester United's list of issues to fix, including Cristiano Ronaldo's future, Ralf Rangnick's role, expiring contracts and more.
United already have issues to address in defensive midfield and at right-back -- where neither Aaron Wan-Bissaka or Diogo Dalot are regarded as long-term solutions -- but with so many positions in need of reinforcement, United will have to prioritise and make smart additions to the squad rather than the expensive signings of recent years.
Sources have told ESPN that West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is a target, but with a likely valuation upwards of £80m, efforts will be made find a less expensive alternative. Meanwhile, Rangnick has already suggested RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku as a possible replacement for Pogba in the attacking third of the pitch. A move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane is a possibility, especially if Pochettino is appointed as manager, but signing the 28-year-old will cost at least £100m and would command the same kind of wages as the club's second-highest earner David de Gea (£350,000-a-week) -- Ronaldo is out on his own with a £480,000-a-week deal.
The key for United, however, is to find players who can make the team better without breaking the bank. Liverpool have mastered that approach by signing the likes of left-back Andy Robertson (£8m), as well as forwards Mohamed Salah (£34.3m) and Diogo Jota (£41m) in recent years, so the blueprint is there for United to follow.
14.22 GMT: Tuttomercatoweb says that Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is the natural replacement for Harry Kane at Tottenham if the England captain departs this summer.
Martinez, 24, could cost around £60m to sign but he would relish linking back up with former Inter manager Antonio Conte, who is now in charge of Tottenham, and presumably the Premier League club would have north of £100m to spend after allowing Kane to join Man City.
13.35 GMT: TalkSPORT says that Chelsea are considering a bid to sign Wolves defender Max Kilman.
Kilman, 24, has impressed under Bruno Lage this season after signing from Maidenhead United in 2018. And the 6-foot-4 defender has caught the eye of Chelsea as they look to replace one or all of the trio of defensive players they have so far been unable to persuade to sign new contracts: Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger.
Chelsea may lose the trio on free transfers in the summer if they can't agree to extend their deals, but Kilman wouldn't need much motivation to move to Stamford Bridge as he was reportedly a boyhood fan of the Blues.
12.54 GMT: Barcelona landed striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang on a free transfer from Arsenal in early February.
12.11 GMT: Sergio Aguero said he is in talks with Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni to be a part of his backroom staff ahead of the World Cup.
Aguero suffered an arrhythmia while playing a league game with Barcelona on Oct. 30 and six weeks later, announced he had to retire from football at the age of 33 due to a heart condition.
Although his wish of playing in a fourth World Cup is over, Aguero is hopeful he can help Argentina lift the trophy in a different role.
"I want to go to the World Cup," Aguero said. "I spoke to Scaloni. He called me... the lads as well.
"We are looking to have a meeting this week and see what can be done... There is the idea that I could be a part of the backroom staff. If I go, I would be able to be with the players and be in the training sessions."
11.42 GMT: The Athletic's David Ornstein says Tottenham do not plan on offering striker Harry Kane a new contract.
Kane, 28, scored twice in the weekend's 3-2 victory at reigning champions Manchester City, just six months after he had pushed for a move to the Etihad last summer. Tottenham held firm on their £150m asking price, but with his contract expiring in 2024, Kane's future is again open to question.
The report claims: "Kane wants to assess the club's progress and outlook prior to deciding on his future and, given that stance, The Athletic understands Tottenham do not plan to make another approach for now."
11.14 GMT: Sevilla defender Jules Kounde is keen to join Chelsea, says Tuttomercatoweb.
Kounde, 22, has been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona but the France international wants to leave Spain and head to England.
Sources told ESPN that Chelsea are still interested if Sevilla lower their asking price back to around €50m, where the two clubs almost found an agreement last summer.
Sevilla have insisted that any interested clubs have to meet Kounde's €80m buyout clause but may lower their demands if the player insists on an exit, given his contract expires in 2024.
10.30 GMT: Brazil forward Neymar has expressed his interest in playing in Major League Soccer in the future.
Neymar is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2025 but is already thinking about his future.
Asked if he would like to retire in Brazil, Neymar, 30, said on a podcast: "I don't know. I have some doubts about that. I don't know if I'll play in Brazil again. I'd love to play in the U.S., actually. I'd love to play there at least for a season."
When asked why, the former Barcelona star said: "First of all, their season is shorter, so I'd get three months' vacation" and then he said laughing that would mean "I'd play many more years."
09.57 GMT: Harry Kane impressed this weekend for Tottenham, who still want to land £150m from any club wishing to sign him.
09.34 GMT: Real Madrid are set to offer winger Vinicius Junior a new contract until 2027, says Fabrizio Romano.
Vinicius, 21, has 16 goals and 10 assists from 34 games this season and has become one of the best players in Europe over recent months.
The Brazil international joined the club from Flamengo for €45m in 2018 and signed a deal until 2024, but is now set to be rewarded for his fine form.
09.02 GMT: Xavi Hernandez says there is no player in the world with as much talent as Pedri after the midfielder came off the bench as Barcelona beat Valencia 4-1 in LaLiga on Sunday.
Pedri, who only returned from a long-term injury in January, was rested from the start against Valencia, but came on and looked to have scored Barca's fourth from distance at a time when the home side were on top at Mestalla.
The goal was later taken off Pedri and credited to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who in turn recorded a first hat-trick for his new side, but Xavi was still effusive in his praise of the teenager.
"There is no player in the world with as much talent as Pedri -- and he is only 19!" the Barca coach said in his news conference. "He is absolutely superlative. How he turns, his understanding of space and time and the fact he uses both feet. It is amazing to have him in the team and we must take care of him.
"He came on for half an hour and was important. He makes the difference: in how we play, in the box... he wins balls back. We demanded he shoot more and now he has three goals [since coming back from injury]. Look, he's not a normal player. There are very few like him. Perhaps, at his age, he is already the best in the world in his position."
08.36 GMT: Neymar has revealed he turned down a move to Real Madrid when he was 12 because he was "too homesick".
The Brazil international joined Barcelona for €86.2m in 2013 at the age of 21 from Santos, before leaving to join PSG for a world-record €222m in 2017, but previously had the opportunity to join Real Madrid.
"When I was 10 Real Madrid invited me for a try-out," Neymar said in an interview with former Brazil great Ronaldo Nazario in a podcast on Twitch. "I was thrilled, I was so happy, I watched their practice. It was during the Galacticos era. I watched their game. I watched a game and I think all the goals were scored by Brazilians. I think two by Ronaldo, one by Robinho and a free-kick from Julio Baptista and another by Roberto Carlos.
"After the game I got a picture with all of them. I was over the moon. I stayed there for a week, for the try-out. It lasted for four of five days. On the fifth day they wanted to take me to a championship being held in Barcelona MIC Cup but I quit. I got really homesick and I wanted to go back home. It was pretty much all set up for me to play at Real Madrid but then I got back. It's funny because I met Pablo Sarabia playing at PSG and he was there too at Real Madrid back then. He remembers everything, that I was there for a few days and then I left."
08.00 GMT: Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has joined Danish side AGF Aarhus on a free transfer until the end of the season, the club announced on Sunday.
Wilshere had been training with Arsenal while he looked for a new club after leaving Championship side Bournemouth last summer.
The 30-year-old made 198 appearances during his 10-year career at Arsenal, where he twice won the FA Cup. He has also had spells at Bolton Wanderers and West Ham United.
Janusz Michallik is hoping Gio Reyna's injury won't rule him out of the World Cup in Qatar.

- Arsenal and Barcelona are still interested in a move for striker Alvaro Morata in the summer, reports Calciomercato. The 29-year-old is currently on loan at Serie A side Juventus, though after they signed Dusan Vlahovic in January, there was a suggestion that the striker could return to parent club Atletico Madrid. In that event, Barcelona and Arsenal were both pushing for a move, which didn't happen. However, the pair are still eyeing a potential deal when he returns at the end of the season.
- Man City are ready to hand a contract extension to winger Raheem Sterling, reports Fabrizio Romano. Talks are set to continue between the club and agents, though City are said to want a decision soon, with the England international's deal expiring in 2023.
- AC Milan, Juventus and Internazionale are all interested in signing Barcelona forward Memphis Depay in the summer, says Sport. The 28-year-old joined the Blaugrana on a free transfer last summer, but the report claims that new boss Xavi Hernandez does not have room for him as part of his plans, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ferran Torres pushing the Netherlands international further down the pecking order.
- Paris Saint-Germain and Man City are making their move to sign Erling Haaland this summer, with Real Madrid already presenting a formal offer, according to Sport. The 21-year-old is said to have a €75m release clause in his contract which comes into effect this year. PSG view the player as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe. who is also a target of Real Madrid, while Manchester City are said to be in talks with the player's father, who played for the club during his owm career.
- Granada and Espanyol are ready to begin talks with Jose Callejon over a free transfer from Fiorentina in the summer, says Ekrem Konur. The former Real Madrid winger is a free agent in the summer, with his current deal expiring. Both LaLiga sides are said to be interested, with the potential to sign the 35-year-old on a pre-contract.
