With the 2018 US Open just around the corner, Andy Murray is stepping up his return from a long-term injury by taking part in the Citi Open in Washington DC.
Funnily enough, Murray wasn't the only British sports star out on court at the William FitzGerald Tennis Center as a familiar face turned up to help him prepare.
Indeed, the Scot was joined for a lively game of football tennis by none other than Wayne Rooney, who lives locally since sealing his recent move to D.C. United.

Murray, his older brother Jamie and Rooney enjoyed a three-way tussle, with the tennis-playing siblings joining forces against the former Manchester United footballer.
'Football + tennis = flames. So cool to meet Wayne Rooney in Washington today. Cool guy and a great player," Murray wrote on Instagram after the game.
The 2018 Citi Open is due to start in Washington on Monday morning, with Murray in action against California-born Mackenzie McDonald in the first round.
