Transfer Rater: Nelson Semedo to Man United, Dani Alves to Man City

Things change in the blink of an eye in football. The Football Whispers Index takes the latest transfer rumours and gives them a score out of five; the higher the score, the more realistic and reliable the whisper.

Here are today's top five emerging whispers for the summer. And keep an eye on Transfer Talk for all the latest gossip.

Jean Michael Seri to Roma

A host of clubs have missed out on Nice midfielder Seri as he looks likely to join Roma. Spanish media outlet Sport claim Monchi, the Serie A club's new director of football, swung the deal in their favour. According to reports in the Guardian, Arsenal and Spurs were interested and Le Parisien say Paris Saint-Germain failed to sign the 25-year-old from their Ligue 1 rivals.

Nelson Semedo to Manchester United

The Sun believe United have tabled a £30 million bid for long-term transfer target Semedo. The right-back was reportedly wanted by Jose Mourinho in January but a move didn't materialise. However, Portuguese news outlet Correio da Manha say a bid from rivals Manchester City is set to arrive in the coming days -- just a few weeks after Pep Guardiola landed Benfica No.1 Ederson. Mundo Deportivo claim Benfica are looking for an offer upwards of £35m for the full-back.

Jota to Burnley

According to Get West London, Burnley are favourites to land Brentford's Jota this summer. The 26-year-old impressed after returning from loan at Eibar in January and finished the season with 12 goals. The Bees, who executed a one-year extension in the Spaniard's contract last month, know this may be the only time they can cash in on Jota, who could leave for free next summer.

Moussa Dembele to Everton

Reports in the Scottish Sun claim Celtic star Dembele returned from visiting family in Paris to hold transfer talks with Everton. Ronald Koeman's side are undergoing a transformation this summer and have already signed Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen. With Chelsea confident of landing Romelu Lukaku, Dembele would be a straight replacement for the Belgian forward.

Dani Alves to Manchester City

The Guardian report Alves has told Juventus he wants to leave amid interest from City. The defender is keen to link up with Guardiola, who managed the Brazilian at Barcelona. The Catalan coach is eager to bring in full-backs this summer who understand his demands. The report suggests a bid of £5m may be enough to secure the services of the Brazilian.
