Following on from the 1-1 draw between Manchester City and Aston Villa on Saturday, Chelsea vs. Liverpool kicked off on Sunday lunchtime but could only manage six minutes of play before the frozen playing surface forced an abandonment.

On Merseyside, the weather caused a delayed start to the match between Everton and West Ham. Despite the delay, the hosts needed little time to get going, opening the scoring three minutes in when Karen Holmgaard nodded Jess Park's whipped ball home from a short corner. Nine minutes later, Megan Finnigan doubled the advantage at a subsequent corner with the defender rising well to head Nicoline Sorensen's floated ball beyond Mackenzie Arnold in the Hammers' goal.
Brought on after the hour, Aggie Beever-Jones made it three with an emphatic strike into the top right corner to round out the scoring and take Everton back to fifth, just five points adrift of Manchester City in fourth.
Following the abandonment at Chelsea, Manchester United kicked off against Reading knowing they would go top with a win at the Madejski Stadium. Kept out for most of the match, things were looking grim for the Red Devils when Jackie Burns saved Katie Zelem's first-half penalty. Yet the visitors stayed the course and dug out a late winner through substitute Rachel Williams -- the 35-year-old striker needing just three minutes on the pitch to take United top with her late rocket.
With Spurs vs. Leicester called off a day early, Brighton vs Arsenal became the final match to be hit by the weather with a relatively late announcement to postpone the fixture due to the playing surface, leaving Arsenal in third, three points behind both United and Chelsea but with a game in hand.
