Las Palmas 2-0 Sevilla FC

Primera Division new boys Las Palmas became the latest side to pile misery on Sevilla as they beat Unai Emery's side 2-0 with a goal in each half.Local boy Roque Mesa put the hosts ahead on the half-hour mark with a powerful finish and then defender Antolin Alcaraz headed in from close range to seal Las Palmas' first win since returning to the top flight.Sevilla meanwhile remain bottom of the league after suffering a third defeat.Emery's men were happy to surrender possession to Las Palmas from the off and look to pick their opponents off on the counter-attack.They created the first real chance of the game when Fernando Llorente turned in the area to cut the ball back to Coke, but the right-back's shot flew over the bar.Las Palmas then went down the other end and took the lead themselves as Mesa turned Benoit Tremoulinas in the area and struck the ball cleanly beyond Sergio Rico.Rico did manage to keep out an effort from Jonathan Viera early in the second half to keep Sevilla in the game and the visitors should have levelled on 72 minutes. Grzegorz Krychowia's header from a corner looked to be heading for the net but Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro got an unwanted touch on the ball, sending it over the bar.Las Palmas then put the game out of Sevilla's sight as Alcaraz burst into the box to nod in Sergio Araujo's cross and send the Estadio Gran Canaria into delirium.ends
