Tottenham have completed the signing of Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven for a fee of €31 million plus another €4m in add-ons.

Bergwijn, 22, signed a contract until 2025, and leaves PSV after being a part of three Eredivisie title-winning squads having scored 31 goals in 149 appearances.

The forward becomes the third signing for Tottenham this month after they sealed deals for Gedson Fernandes and Giovani Lo Celso.

"I live from day to day," Bergwijn said. "I want to score goals, give assists and win the Champions League. Last season, I loved to see you beat Ajax.

"When I was a young boy, I looked to the coach, Jose Mourinho, and now I play for him.

"You have to believe in yourself. I know what I can bring for this club, for this team. I'm good with the ball, I can score, play good football and that is what I like. To play here, it's a dream for me. It's an honour."

There were reports the forward refused to play in PSV's match with Twente on Sunday amid a move to the Premier League but he took to social media to deny the claims.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho entered the market in search of attacking options after captain Harry Kane was ruled out until April with a hamstring injury.

While reports linked the club with Real Sociedad's Willian Jose, Spurs have opted to sign Netherlands international Bergwijn instead.

Bergwijn has been at PSV since 2011, when he joined their youth set-up from Ajax. He has five goals in 16 league appearances this season.
