Hannover have strengthened their squad by signing attacking midfielder Hiroshi Kiyotake from relegated Nurnberg.

Kiyotake, 24, who made one appearance for Japan at the World Cup, signed a four-year contract and arrived less than 24 hours after Hannover wrapped up the signing of Ceyhan Gulselam from Galatasaray on a free.

"We are pleased and happy that Hiroshi Kiyotake has opted for Hannover despite having many other offers," director of sport Dirk Dufner told the club's official website.

"Kiyotake has only just turned 24, so he has not yet completed his development. However, in his first two years in the Bundesliga and in the Japan national team, he has consistently attracted attention."

Kiyotake, who has scored seven Bundesliga goals in 64 appearances, will be earmarked for the position left vacated by Szabolcs Huszti's decision to move to China.

He joins compatriot Hiroki Sakai in Hannover and becomes the club's fourth summer signing. Miiko Albornoz and Joselu were signed prior to Gulselam's arrival on Thursday.
