Mattia Destro has taken to Facebook to announce that he is on his way to AC Milan.
The Roma striker is set to sign a contract with Milan on Thursday evening, joining on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent move in the summer.
Destro, 23, said he had decided to accept an offer made by Rossoneri general manager Adriano Galliani.
He wrote: "Thanks Roma, I was only a little boy and you made me become big.
"This is where I discovered that Love with a capital L really does exist. Now I'm off to Milanello for a new challenge, convinced and determined!!! The countdown towards the San Siro has begun."

Destro is due to arrive in Lombardy late on Thursday afternoon, and will undergo a medical before signing his initial loan deal.
La Gazetta dello Sport reported that the move will become permanent in the summer for a fee of 16 million euros, payable in three installments.
Destro is Roma's second highest scorer so far this season with five, one more than Francesco Totti.
The former Inter Milan player has also had spells with Genoa and Siena, joining Roma in 2012.
In two-and-a-half years in the capital, he has scored 29 goals in 68 games, earning a place in the Italy squad and also attracting interest from clubs including Arsenal.
