Way up in Argentina's Misiones province in the northeastern region of the country sits Crucero del Norte, a club that is making its first appearance in the top flight, which just so happened to expand to 30 teams for the 2015 season.
One would think the Garupa-based squad would attempt to put their best foot forward in their Primera Division debut, yet pretty much the complete opposite happened in their home opener against Tigre on Saturday night at the Estadio Comandante Andres Guacurari, with a pitch full of grass that looked like it had not been cut in weeks, as evidenced by the photo below.

Tigre head coach Gustavo Alfaro remarked to TyC Sports post-match that "playing at altitude is easier than playing on the Crucero del Norte field." Judging by the 0-0 final and a missed penalty from the hosts, he's probably right.
However, all was not lost as Argentine futbol fans took to Twitter to poke fun at the Primera Division debutants and deliver a few laughs.
