Swansea City brace for interest in U21 starlet Kenji Gorre

Swansea City starlet Kenji Gorre is a target for Premier League rivals Sunderland and Leicester City, sources have told ESPN FC.

Gorre caught the eye for Swansea's Under-21s last season helping the club to win the Under 21 Development League and in the process scooped the club's Under-21s Player of the Year prize.

The 20-year-old, who scored 18 goals and racked up 10 assists in the U21s, was rewarded for his progress when he was handed his Premier League debut for the final game of last season at Crystal Palace.

Gorre is highly-regarded at Swansea after joining the club from Manchester United in the summer of 2013 and he has represented Holland at U16 and U17 level.

The winger is entering the final year of his contract at the Liberty Stadium and the news has alerted several Premier League sides to his possible availability for a reduced price.

Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat is thought to be an admirer of his fellow Dutchman and sees him as someone who could much-added pace and creativity to his side.

Leicester City are also monitoring Gorre's situation with Nigel Pearson looking to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.

Swansea are thought to be keen to keep hold of Gorre, but are bracing themselves for interest in the winger.
