AC Milan forward Luiz Adriano believes they could have the most fearsome attack in Serie A this season as he prepares for Sunday's derby with Inter.
Mario Balotelli, signed on loan from Liverpool, could make his second debut for the Rossoneri this weekend, and Luiz Adriano would like to see him up front with former Sevilla forward Carlos Bacca.
The Brazilian feels that Milan are stronger just thanks to Balotelli's presence in training, and he believes their season is set to take off this weekend.
"He's very important to us," the 28-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "Mario is a great player who has come here to give us an important helping hand. We need everybody in the squad and he's going to help us a lot.
"It would be a fantastic trident [with Bacca and Balotelli] because Balotelli's got quality which can help us a great deal. There wouldn't be any problem all three of us playing together."
Mihajlovic is more likely to field Luiz Adriano with Bacca against the Nerazzurri, however, with Balotelli an option from the bench for later in the game. All three joined the club in the summer as part of a rebuilding programme.
That is the system the Serbian coach has chosen so far this season and in training, and Milan's new No. 9 says it is developing.
"I get on well with Carlos," he added. "Our understanding improves with each training session, and we talk a lot to each other.
"We really do talk a lot and this is only strengthening our understanding. As time goes by, we're going to get even better. There are plenty of other strong attack partnerships, but one thing is for sure: we will do all we can to be the best in the league."
On Sunday, they can become the best in Milan by beating their city rivals in a game the Brazilian forward is looking forward to.
"I'm really curious and emotional about Sunday," he said. "San Siro's going to be spectacular. I've played in derbies which have brought an entire country to a standstill, like those games against Dynamo Kiev [for Shakhtar Donetsk].
"And at Porto Alegre, I played for Internacional against Gremio and even there, everything stopped for that game."
