Luis Hernandez signs for Leicester from Sporting Gijon on four-year deal

Leicester City have announced the signing of defender Luis Hernandez from Sporting Gijon on a free transfer.

Hernandez, 27, has agreed a four-year contract with the Premier League champions and will officially join the club on July 1.

The Spanish centre-back started his career at Real Madrid's youth academy before moving to Sporting Gijon in 2012.

Hernandez's arrival follows the addition of goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler from Hannover, with Leicester planning for life in the Champions League next season.

Meanwhile, sources have told ESPN FC that Leicester are set to make an improved bid for Burnley defender Michael Keane after seeing their first offer rejected.
