Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic has confirmed he will be sidelined for six months through injury.
Besic, 23, came on as a second-half substitute in Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney's testimonial on Wednesday, but he was forced off minutes later with an injury, reported by Press Association Sport to be a knee injury.
It was reported that the Bosnia and Herzegovina international faced missing the start of the season but he has now announced his absence will be long-term.
