While the summer transfer window of 2017 will undoubtedly go down in history as the one with the most overblown, high-concept transfer unveilings ever, PSV have filed a late inclusion that is no less impressive.
Indeed, the Dutch club shared a post on social media to alert fans that they "had a message" for them.
Also included was a video that showed PSV going through the entire process of signing 18-year-old striker Maximiliano Romero from Velez Sarsfield on Football Manager 18.

Sure enough, as always, real life mirrored Football Manager as the Eredivisie side followed up by officially announcing the actual signing of Romero on a six-year contract.

Romero has scored eight goals in 39 games for Velez since graduating from their academy last year, so he looks to be a bargain at just €2.5 million.
We're surely he'll be an instant hit in Eindhoven, though PSV have probably taken care of that by simulating his first six months at the club on Football Manager anyway.
