Sydney FC striker Matt Simon will miss Saturday's away A-League clash with Perth after copping a one-game ban for throwing his shoulder into the head of Melbourne City's Michael Jakobsen.
Simon rammed into Jakobsen and knocked him to the ground during one of several fiery confrontations with the Danish defender late in Friday night's 1-1 draw at ANZ Stadium.
After taking into account a submission, lodged by the Sky Blues on his behalf, the A-League's match review panel found Simon had committed serious unsporting conduct which warranted a minimum one-match suspension.
