Former Columbus Crew SC goalkeeper Steve Clark has signed a six-month contract with Danish club AC Horsens.
Clark started 100 straight games for Columbus over the past three seasons, but the MLS club did not pick up his option in December, and the 30-year-old said he wanted to explore options abroad.
"We've made such a great home there. But this is a business and for me, and also I think the Crew, too, it's a good time and a good year to separate," Clark told the Columbus Dispatch.

The move is a return to Scandinavia for Clark, who spent four seasons with Norwegian club Honefoss before signing with Columbus.
Horsens manager Bo Henriksen said Clark would compete for the starting role with Nicklas Dannevang.
