A warrant was issued for Robert Snodgrass on Thursday after the West Ham striker missed a court appearance in Glasgow.
The Scotland international was charged after allegedly driving a car while a passenger held a baby last April with no room for a child's seat.
Asked about his client's absence, Snodgrass' lawyer Martin Black said he did not believe he had to be in attendance, the BBC reported.
The Crown then requested a warrant for Snodgrass' arrest, which was granted.
