Orlando City goalkeeper Joe Bendik signed a new three-year contract to stay with the Lions on Monday.
The new deal will tie Bendik to Orlando through the 2019 season, after the 27-year-old played every minute for the MLS club last season.
Bendik's 114 saves last season were the most in the league, and he won the league's "Save of the Week" honor 11 times.
The 27-year-old was also named to the MLS Team of the Week after shutting out New York City FC in the Lions' season opener this month.
"We're excited to be able to sign Joe for three more years," Lions general manager Niki Budalic said in a statement. "Joe was among our best players last season and will be a big part of our future. He has been an outstanding professional and earned this extension."
Orlando also announced on Monday that defender Seb Hines will miss the next six weeks after undergoing knee surgery last week.
Hines has made 44 appearances over the past two seasons, scoring four goals, though his minutes will likely be limited this season after the Lions acquired Jonathan Spector.
