Arsenal striker Stephy Mavididi has agreed a loan move to Preston North End, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
Mavididi is highly-regarded at Arsenal, but he is currently well down the pecking order in Arsene Wenger's first-team plans.
The 19-year-old had a spell out on loan at Charlton Athletic last season, but his stint was cut short by injury.
Mavidi missed a large chunk of last season after undergoing an operation on the hamstring injury, but he is now back to full fitness and has impressed in preseason.
A loan move will allow him to earn valuable first-team experience, and though a number of Championship clubs expressed an interest in Mavidi, Preston have moved quickly to agree a deal for the England youth international.
