Aston Villa have signed West Ham United midfielder Robert Snodgrass on a season-long loan deal.
Scotland international Snodgrass, who joined the Hammers from Hull in January, was told by manager Slaven Bilic that he could move on either permanently or on loan, with Sunderland also interested in signing him.
But Villa have secured a deal for the 29-year-old which gives them an option to buy him at the end of the season.

Snodgrass, who was managed by Villa boss Steve Bruce during his time in charge at Hull, told Villa's official website: "I am delighted to join. I have had offers from other clubs, but it was an easy decision to come here.
"You see the name Aston Villa with all its history, tradition, fanbase, and it's a place you want to come to. "Seeing it in the Championship doesn't look right. I want to be part of that journey back up to the Premier League."
