The Greek football federation has said it will renew national coach Michael Skibbe's contract for another two years despite failure to qualify for the World Cup.
Greece were eliminated by Croatia in a qualification playoff earlier this month.
But the federation said Skibbe would be arriving in Athens to sign a new contract on Thursday.
The 52-year-old German took over in 2015 after Greece's wretched qualifying campaign for the 2016 European Championship, during which they were beaten home and away by the Faroe Islands.
