Arsenal striker Stephy Mavididi is poised to join Charlton on loan, sources have told ESPN FC.
Mavididi spent the first half of this season on loan at Championship side Preston North End, but Arsenal are ready to cut short that loan so that he can make the move to Charlton.
The 19-year-old made only 11 appearances for Preston and Arsenal want him to get more regular first-team action under his belt.
Mavididi had a spell on loan at Charlton last season, but his stay at the League One club was cut short by injury after only five games.
Arsenal have a good relationship with Charlton, having loaned out the likes Francis Coquelin, Emmanuel Frimpong and Yaya Sanogo there in the past.
Mavididi, who has come through the ranks at Arsenal, is highly regarded within the corridors of power at the Emirates Stadium, and a loan move is the next stage in his development.
