Arsenal fans are mourning the end of an era with news that Carl Jenkinson has left the club after almost a decade of loyal, if slightly sporadic, service.
The right-back, who signed from Charlton in 2011, became the Gunners' longest-serving player when former captain Laurent Koscielny left for Bordeaux on Tuesday (more on that below).
That prestigious mantle lasted roughly 24 hours before Jenkinson himself completed a transfer to Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal fans angered by Laurent Koscielny's Bordeaux unveiling
Laurent Koscielny has seen his long Arsenal career end in ignominy after suddenly demanding a transfer last month after nine years at the club.
The 33-year-old defender signed for Bordeaux on Tuesday and was unveiled with a pointed shirt-swapping video that incurred the wrath of many an angry Gooner.
From popular skipper to exiled pariah in the space of one short viral video.
If there's one lesson to be learnt from all this furore, it's that when it comes to football transfers, it's probably easiest to just thank your former fans, keep your head down and move on.
Barcelona stars joined Pedro Capo on-stage in Miami

It's the collaboration you didn't know you wanted this summer: Former Barcelona player Jose Manuel Pinto and Latin pop star Pedro Capo -- with a splash of Frenkie de Jong -- teaming up to sing in front of 8,000 Barca fans in Miami.
Ex-goalkeeper Pinto, who has pursued a career in the music industry since retiring from football, joined Puerto Rican singer Capo on stage at Bayfront Park to blast out his latest single, "Calma."

There was another surprise for the Barcelona fans who had attended the Fan Fest, too, as Pinto and Capo then invited several Barca first-teamers -- in town for Wednesday's game against Napoli at the Hard Rock Stadium -- on to the stage to perform with them.
New signing De Jong, Sergi Roberto, Jean Clair-Todibo, Abel Ruiz and Riqui Puig all danced their way out, although they were not quite as eager as Pinto to join in with Capo's summer hit.
Earlier, there had been a performance from Play N Skillz, while Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu and sporting director Eric Abidal were among those enjoying the festival in the crowd. (Sam Marsden)
