The New England Revolution signed free agent defender Seth Sinovic to a contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Sinovic played one season with New England after being selected by the club in the second round of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. He then played nine seasons with Sporting Kansas City, his hometown team.
"Seth brings a wealth of experience in MLS and a winning pedigree to our roster," Revolution sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena said in a statement. "We are excited to welcome Seth back to New England and are eager to begin working with him in January."
Sinovic had one assist in 22 matches (21 starts) last season with Sporting Kansas City. The 32-year-old has recorded one goal and 12 assists in 230 career MLS games (218 starts) with the Revolution and Sporting Kansas City.
