Lloyd Kelly joins Juventus after short stint at Newcastle

Juventus have signed defender Lloyd Kelly on an initial loan deal with an obligation to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

The move comes seven months after Kelly joined Newcastle as a free agent last summer at the end of his contract at Bournemouth.

Kelly, who can play at left-back or in the centre of defence, made just four Premier League starts under Eddie Howe this season.

He was behind Lewis Hall in the pecking order at left-back and faced stiff competition from Sven Botman and Dan Burn for a spot as the team's left-sided centre-back.
