Utah State big man Great Osobor, the Mountain West Player of the Year, entered the transfer portal Wednesday.
He's also expected to go through the NBA draft process, sources told ESPN.
A 6-foot-8 power forward from England, Osobor had one of the biggest breakout campaigns in men's college basketball this past season. He averaged 17.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.8 blocks, shooting 57.7% from the field.
Osobor had 15 double-doubles, including 31 points and 10 rebounds against Southern Utah in November, and 29 points and 17 boards against Fresno State in the Mountain West tournament.
It was Osobor's first season at Utah State after spending his first two seasons at Montana State. He started just three games in his two years with the Bobcats but posted 10.1 points and 4.6 boards in only 18.9 minutes in 2022-23. He then followed coach Danny Sprinkle from Montana State to Utah State.
Sprinkle, who led Utah State to the program's first outright Mountain West regular-season title in his first season at the school, left last month to take the head-coaching job at Washington. The Aggies hired Jerrod Calhoun from Youngstown State to replace Sprinkle.
Ian Martinez, the team's second-leading scorer at 13.3 points, also entered the transfer portal Wednesday.
