MIAMI -- The Miami Marlins have decided not to sign left-handed reliever Joe Beimel, who was on the verge of securing a contract with the team last week, pending a physical.
Beimel, 39, has pitched in 676 games. He spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons with the Seattle Mariners. Last season, he had a 3.99 ERA in 47⅓ innings.
