The Baltimore Orioles have placed right-hander Dylan Bundy on the 10-day injured list with right knee tendinitis.
The move comes a day after Bundy gave up seven earned runs in the first inning of a 16-4 loss to the visiting Tampa Bay Rays.
After the game, Bundy admitted to experiencing some discomfort in his knee.
"My knee's a little sore, but I just wasn't locating and didn't really have any good movement on my pitches," Bundy said Friday. "They came out aggressive and were hitting the ball where there's plenty of grass. I couldn't slow them down."
Bundy (4-11, 5.28 ERA) said he began having an issue with the knee on Friday before his start, but didn't mention the issue to the team until after the first inning. He did not return to pitch the second inning.
The 26-year-old former first-round pick leads the Orioles with 18 starts this season.
