The 2022 World Series is set, with an AL powerhouse on one side and a sixth-seeded NL squad on the other: the Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies.

In the American League, the Cleveland Guardians knocked out the Tampa Bay Rays, while the Seattle Mariners stunned the Toronto Blue Jays to start their first postseason in 21 years. Cleveland moved on to play the New York Yankees in the AL Division Series, where the Guardians lost in five games. The Mariners moved on to play the No. 1-seeded Astros -- and got swept, sending Houston to the AL Championship Series to meet New York. There, the Astros won four in a row for another sweep, advancing to the Fall Classic.

In the National League, the Phillies swept the Cardinals and then went on to defeat the reigning World Series champion Atlanta Braves in the NL Division Series. The San Diego Padres followed a wild-card round upset of the Mets by knocking out the top-seeded Los Angeles Dodgers and setting up an NL Championship Series matchup with Philadelphia. Philly won to move on to play on baseball's biggest stage.

This postseason marks the debut of Major League Baseball's new 12-team playoff format that boasts an additional wild-card spot in both the American League and National League. From the first pitch of the wild-card games to the last out of the World Series, we've got you covered with the postseason bracket, schedules, results and how to watch every postseason game in October and November.
