Promising lightweight prospect Sage Northcutt has booked his next UFC fight, as he'll take on Thibault Gouti at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 18 in Austin, Texas.
UFC officials informed ESPN of the 155-pound matchup on Thursday. The bout will take place at UFC Fight Night inside Frank Erwin Center.
Additionally, officials have confirmed a heavyweight fight between Derrick Lewis (18-5) and Marcin Tybura (16-3), which was previously reported by MMAJunkie.com.
Northcutt (9-2) is coming off a three-round decision win over Michel Quinones in November. The 21-year-old has already made six appearances in the UFC, compiling a 4-2 record.
Originally from Katy, Texas, Northcutt's most recent victory was arguably his most impressive to date. It was also his first fight as a member of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento.
Gouti (12-3), 30, of France, has struggled in the UFC. He began his UFC career with three consecutive losses, all of which were finishes.
He recorded his first Octagon win in September, in a first-round TKO over Andrew Holbrook.
A main event has yet to be announced for the UFC Fight Night card in February.
