New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram has a mild right hamstring strain and will be reevaluated in seven to 10 days, the team announced Wednesday night.
The Pelicans started a four-game, seven-night homestand Wednesday against the Orlando Magic, losing 108-102.
Ingram injured his hamstring late against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night and was a late addition to the injury report Tuesday prior to the team's game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Ingram underwent an MRI on Wednesday morning to determine the severity of the injury.
Without Ingram this season, the Pelicans are 2-14.
New Orleans was playing some of its best basketball of the season after the All-Star break with a four-game win streak before losing in double overtime to the Nuggets. The Pelicans lost 132-111 without Ingram against the Grizzlies.
The Pelicans do have CJ McCollum to lean on in Ingram's absence. McCollum had 32 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds against Memphis, and 32 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds against Orlando.
In 50 games this season, Ingram is averaging 22.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists.
