NBA Kicks of the Week: Jayson Tatum rocks new Tatum 2s

Players around the association broke out another slate of heat on their feet.

Boston Celtics guard Jayson Tatum finished with 17 points and five assists in his team's 101-100 win over the Sacramento Kings on Friday, including a dime to Kristaps Porzingis.

Tatum rocked a clear white pair of his signature Jordan Tatum 2s with secondary neon green and orange colors. The sneaker has become a staple for the up-and-coming basketball player, but the colorways continue to improve.

Here are some of the best sneakers around the NBA in Week 24.

Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers big man hasn't seen the court due to a procedure on his lateral meniscus in his left knee. He returned Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he aided the 76ers to a 109-105 win with 24 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Embiid played in Under Armour shoes before his contract expired in October 2023. He signed a multiyear deal with Sketchers and had to remain patient for his own sneaker. He picked the perfect night to debut the sneaker in his return.

TyTy Washington Jr., Milwaukee Bucks

The guard broke out a classic sneaker -- the Nike KD 4 "Weatherman" in a 111-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

NBA Coaches

As part of a leaguewide initiative, coaches around the NBA wore custom Nike Air Force 1s from April 2-7 to support Autism Acceptance Month. JSM 801 Customs designed the custom forces, featuring a traditional white primary color with a colorful infinity symbol that symbolizes the neurodiversity spectrum. The words "To the Max" and "Inclusion" are on the base of the shoes.

DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls

The Compton, California, native might have one of the best collections of specific shoes in the NBA. Each week, DeRozan dons a pair of Kobe Bryant's signature Nike sneakers, telling a story of the Los Angeles Lakers legend's life.

The Nike Kobe 4 Protro "Wizenard" is a tribute to Bryant's "The Wizenard Series." His books are dedicated to the power of basketball combined with reality and fantasy.

DeRozan dropped 20 points and ten assists in the Bulls' 108-100 win over the New York Knicks.
