MINNEAPOLIS -- Returner Brandon Powell is the best thing to happen to the Los Angeles Rams' special teams this season, other than first-time Pro Bowl kicker Matt Gay, of course.
Powell fielded a 40-yard punt and returned it 61 yards up the sideline to give the Rams a 20-10 lead over the Minnesota Vikings with 7:22 remaining in the third quarter on Sunday.
It was only the second punt return for a TD in the NFL this season, and it's the first for the Rams since 2015. This is Powell's fourth game with the Rams since they signed the 2018 undrafted free agent.
