The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired center Connor Dewar from the Minnesota Wild on Friday in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL draft and forward Dmitry Ovchinnikov.
Ovchinnikov will remain with Toronto's AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, on loan from Minnesota, according to the Maple Leafs.
Dewar, 24, has 14 points (10 goals, 4 assists) in 57 games this season. He is scheduled to be a restricted free agent in the summer.
Selected by the Wild in the third round of the 2018 draft, Dewar has totaled 38 points (18 goals, 20 assists) in 173 career games.
Ovchinnikov, 21, was a fifth-round pick by Toronto in 2020.
