Just a week after the Joey Leilua received a lengthy suspension for his rogue shot on Penrith's Dylan Edwards, Rabbitohs star Latrell Mitchell has been charged for a similar shot on the Tigers' Josh Reynolds on Friday night.

Mitchell was charged with a grade two striking charge for his hit on Reynolds, in retaliation to the Wests half making contact with Campbell Graham's head with his boot, and is facing a two match ban.

Reynolds himself was charged with grade two dangerous contact for the incident and is also facing two weeks on the sidelines.

For his careless tackle on Luke Garner, meanwhile, Mitchel has also been fined $550.

Teammate Mark Nicholls, however, is looking at a two week ban after he was slapped with a grade two dangerous contact charge for his shot on Josh Aloiai.

In the earlier Friday night contest, the Warriors' Peta Hiku was charged for tripping the Titans' Bryce Cartwright but is only facing a fine.
