There were a couple of upsets last week, just to make tipping interesting and Round 11 offers up some interesting clashes as well.
The round starts with the Eels taking on the Tigers which is always a tight tussle, before the Cowboys, without coach Paul Green, take on the Sea Eagles before the clash of the round on Saturday between the Raiders and the Rabbitohs.

Recap: The Eels were too good for the Tigers in the end of a brutal clash which saw player from both teams taken from the field following heavy head knocks. The Tigers started well, scoring the opening try before the Eels had touched the ball, but Parramatta worked their way back into the game and drew away in the second half. Mitchell Moses, returning from an ankle injury, scored a clever individual try and lead the Eels to victory over his former club.

Recap: It's more misery for the Cowboys. Daly Cherry-Evans has steered the Sea Eagles to a comfortable two-try win over North Queensland. Curtis Sironen opened the scoring inside six minutes, before Danny Levi helped double the lead early in the first half. Recap: With little to play for other than pride, the Warriors turned in a vastly improved performance against a Roosters side heavily favoured to win big. Despite being outmatched and outgunned, the New Zealand outfit shocked their opponents early, scoring through Ken Maumalo within the first five minutes of the game and even held a four point lead over the reigning premiers at halftime. Luke Keary snuffed out the Warriors' hope for an unprecedented upset, however, his kicking game providing much needed field position for the Roosters as he went on to also record a try and a try assist to boot.

Recap: This local derby certainly lived up to the hype early, with six tries scored in the first half alone - four of them by the Sharks. With a try and a try assist to his name, Johnson was very much the architect of Cronulla's success in this game as he extended his already comfortable lead over the rest of the NRL with the most assists of 2020. When Aaron Woods crashed over early in the second half, the Sharks held a commanding 14-point lead, but the Dragons showed their steel when Zac Lomax and Mikaele Ravalawa each scored with five minutes of one another. They wouldn't score again however, with the Sharks escaping with a slim 4-point victory.

Recap: The rain was pouring and their players continue to drop like flies due to injury, but the Canberra Raiders just keep finding a way to win. They lost fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad to a gruesome finger injury before adding his replacement Jordan Rapana to the injury list after he suffered a concussion due to friendly-fire from rookie winger Semi Valemei. Souths lost their own fullback Alex Johnston early and not only managed to keep up with the Raiders, but even lead them 12-10 at halftime with two tries apiece. Valemei's first career try midway through the second half would prove the difference, with constant errors preventing Souths from mounting a sincere comeback.

Recap: If nothing else, the Bulldogs have rarely been out-enthused by their opposition throughout season 2020, and their effort could not be questioned against the Knights. The Dogs are notorious for their success in bad weather and love dragging teams into an arm-wrestle - and that's exactly what they did in torrential rain in Newcastle. An excellent completion rate saw the Bulldogs jump out to an 18-0 lead early in the second half, before the Knights wrestled back momentum with two quick tries to trail by a single converted try. They went on to launch a number of attacking raids on the Bulldogs, but the blue-and-whites showed enough steel to hold them off and take home a hard-fought 18-12 win.

Recap: Despite missing a host of stars including Dylan Edwards, Viliame Kikau and Api Koroisau, the Panthers jumped out to an early lead, scoring their first two tries in within 15 minutes of kickoff. Buoyed by the signing of David Fifita for next year, however, the Titans proved that they are still a force to be reckoned with in 2020, scoring back-to-back tries on the stroke of halftime to trail the Panthers by just two points at the break. The rain was pouring on the Gold Coast, and despite being given ample opportunity by the Panthers to score, the Titans simply lacked the class to score against a tough Penrith defence.
