Doueihi inks one year deal with Wests Tigers

Wests Tigers have taken Adam Doueihi off the open market by signing the Lebanon international to a one year contract extension.

Doueihi was a free agent beyond this season, but after reaching an agreement with the Tigers will remain with the NRL club until the end of 2024.

The re-signing of the 24-year-old is unlikely to impact the Tigers' pursuit of Parramatta playmaker Mitchell Moses, who head coach Tim Sheens has been attempting to lure back to Concord.

Doueihi would likely shift to fullback if the Tigers were able to land Moses for 2024.

Doueihi, who joined the Tigers in 2020, has floated between fullback, five-eighth and centre across 51 games for the club.

"I'm really happy to extend my stay here at Wests Tigers," said Doueihi, who missed the start of last season with an ACL injury.

"We've all trained hard in pre-season and our team is in great shape.

"For me personally, I'm fully fit and hoping to be the best I can be."
