Indonesia's Anthony Sinisuka Ginting claimed a second medal on a historic day at the Olympics for Indonesia on Monday evening, as he won the bronze in the badminton men's singles.
Having been eliminated by defending champion Chen Long in the semi-finals, Ginting bounced back to beat Guatemala's Kevin Cordon 21-11, 21-13 to claim his country's first medal in the men's singles since Sony Dwi Kuncoro did the same at Athens 2004.
The 24-year-old's achievement followed a historic afternoon for Indonesia as Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu won the women's doubles, claiming their country's first-ever gold in the event.
That victory ensured Indonesia have now won all five badminton events in the history of the Olympics, becoming on the second country to do so following China.
