UFC will return to Dublin, Ireland on Aug. 15, 2020 at the 3Arena, the organisation has announced.

Conor McGregor delivered a punishing first-round knockout of Diego Brandao, after 11 months out of the sport, in the headline bout when the event came to the city in 2014.

The event first came to Dublin in 2009 for UFC 93 when American light heavyweight Dan Henderson defeated fellow countryman Rich Franklin via split decision. Darren Till and Nicolas Dalby were the last UFC fighters to headline in the city in 2015, the event's most recent visit.

"We kicked off the year with a phenomenal comeback from Conor McGregor at UFC 246, and now we are thrilled to announce our return to Ireland after four years," UFC Senior Vice President David Shaw said.

"With Irish fans amongst the most passionate UFC supporters in the world, and Dublin being such an iconic global city, we can't wait to put on another world class event for our fans there."
