Sparks guard Williams arrested in Florida

Los Angeles Sparks guard Riquna Williams is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail after being arrested on charges of burglary with assault or battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, according to online records.

Williams is being held on $20,000 bond, according to the records. She was booked into the jail on Monday.

WPTV, citing the arrest report, reported that on Dec. 6, Williams struck her ex-girlfriend in the head and pulled her hair after she opened the front door of her house. Williams had used a skateboard to hit the door when she arrived.

After a man at the home broke up the altercation, Williams reportedly went to her car and pulled out a gun, pointed it in the man's direction and said "you'll get all 18" before leaving the scene.

Williams, 28, completed her sixth WNBA season in 2018, averaging 7.1 points in 33 games for the Sparks. She was an All-Star for the Tulsa Shock in 2015.

A spokeswoman for the WNBA says the league is aware of the situation and gathering more information.
