Notre Dame coach Muffet McGraw apologizes for players' behavior in loss to UConn

Notre Dame women's basketball coach Muffet McGraw sent out a message Tuesday on Twitter apologizing for her team's actions during the Irish's 89-71 loss to UConn on Sunday in South Bend, Indiana.

Senior guard Arike Ogunbowale also apologized on Twitter.

Seniors Ogunbowale and Marina Mabrey looked visibly frustrated and complained to officials during the second half of Sunday's game. Then Ogunbowale picked up a technical foul with 4 minutes, 23 seconds remaining in the game, and got an unsportsmanlike foul with 1:43 left, after which McGraw sent her to the bench.

The technical came after Ogunbowale said something to Auriemma on the sidelines. After Sunday's game, she said, "He said some words and I fed right into it and said something back. As a senior leader, I definitely can't do that. I have to keep my composure at a time like that."
