Three starters for the Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team -- redshirt junior forward Dre'una Edwards, senior guard Jazmine Massengill and sophomore guard Treasure Hunt -- entered the transfer portal Friday.
Edwards, who was Kentucky's leading rebounder (8.4 per game) and second-leading scorer (16.8) this season, hit the game-winning 3-pointer against South Carolina in the SEC tournament final. She started her career at Utah in 2018-19, being named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, before transferring to Kentucky.
The 6-0 Massengill led the Wildcats in assists (4.7) and averaged 7.0 points per game. The 6-1 Hunt averaged 6.9 points.
Kentucky (19-12), which won the SEC tournament title but was upset by Princeton in the first round of the NCAA tournament, also will lose leading scorer Rhyne Howard (20.5 PPG), who is expected to be one of the top two picks in the WNBA draft in April.
