The streak is over.
No. 1 UConn's run of 111 straight wins and four consecutive national championships ended at the hands of Morgan William and Mississippi State. UConn, which trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half, forced overtime when Gabby Williams blocked a shot in the closing seconds of regulation. A year ago in the Sweet 16, UConn overwhelmed Mississippi State with a 98-38 win in the Bridgeport Regional semifinal.
