Team news: Brisbane young gun Will Ashcroft has fully recovered from his ACL injury and will feature in his first game of the season this week. Darragh Joyce has also been named for the Lions, with Jack Payne and Shadeau Brain going out. Melbourne have made three changes, with Jake Lever, Taj Woewodin, Andy Moniz-Wakefield in for Christian Salem (knee), Kynan Brown (ommited, sub), and Blake Howes.

North Melbourne vs. Western Bulldogs
Team news: Unfortunately for the Roos, George Wardlaw will miss two games through concussion, with Kallan Dawson coming in this week. The Bulldogs welcome back Aaron Naughton, Oskar Baker, and Sam Darcy with Buku Khamis (omitted), Caleb Daniel (omitted), and Anthony Scott (omitted) going out.
