No. 16. Jacory Harris, QB, Miami
2009 numbers: He threw for 3,352 yards -- the fourth-best single-season mark in school history. He ranked 20th nationally with a passing efficiency rating of 140.09. He threw 24 touchdowns and 17 interceptions and completed 59.6 percent of his passes.
Most recent ranking: Not ranked.
Making the case for Harris: He should only be better in the second season under coordinator Mark Whipple, and not all of last year’s interceptions were entirely his fault. Harris will need better protection this fall and his receivers will have to be more consistent if he’s going to cut down on his mistakes.
