Atlanta Braves left-hander Eric O'Flaherty has cleared waivers, according to Jon Heyman of Today's Knuckleball, although that's not necessarily a positive sign for his trade stock.

Rumor Central

Heyman reports that a rival said "any lefty who clears waivers can't be very good." Judging by O'Flaherty's numbers, this might not be an exaggeration. O'Flaherty has a 6.91 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 22 strikeouts in 28⅔ innings this year. He's allowed 39 hits in 39 appearances.

O'Flaherty, 31, is signed to a one-year, $1.75 million deal with the Braves and is set to be a free agent at the end of the season.
